Our annual
Community Lenten breakfast
and Easter egg hunt, 2011
Saturday, April 16th,
2011. Over 80 children, 400 Easter eggs,
lots of fun on a wet, rainy day.
What a great fun time for a soggy day in April.

Eggs and
hotcakes for everyone.
The perfect breakfast before a busy morning crafting and hunting Easter eggs.
Photo at left: Carol,
Kaye, and Ginny were only three of the
many volunteers that helped with this annual community
project.
Over 400 eggs were hidden in
our Sanctuary and Long Hall. The older children hunted
in the sanctuary, the younger children hunted in Long
Hall. It seems that every egg was found.

After
breakfast everyone congregated in Long Hall and
Fellowship Hall
photo at

to create and assemble Easter crafts under the direction
of "Aunt" Ginny Allen. They made small Easter
gift bags that looked
like lambs. Everyone enjoyed assembling these lovely
craft bags.
Next the
children listened to "Aunt" Connie read a book about
our
Easter season. They all enjoyed this "story time". More
than 80 children had a great time on a wet, rainy Saturday.
Thanks to all the volunteers, including Pastor Sam,
"Aunt" Connie, "Carol Dalrymple, "Aunt" Ginny, Rick and
Janet, Elizabeth and Jim, Mary Lou, David,
Nancy, Jess, Evelyn, Sam, Carolyn (Sam and Carolyn hid
the eggs), Kaye, Maurine, Karen, Sandi, Carol Yoder, and Alice. Thanks
to all who donated items, money, and time to this annual
event.
